By the noble initiative of four young girls, to serve society, PRERNA came into existence. With every step taken, Prerna commenced at district level in the year 2006, at FTE,MSU.
The year 2008 was the foundation year for the core visitor event SEARCH THY SOUL in which visitors got a chance to interact with a visually impaired participant for the first time.
With a new organising team, renewed energy and enthusiasm of volunteers, PRERNA became a state level event in the year 2009.
One of the unique and eye catching events, BLIND CRICKET TOURNAMENT, was introduced in PRERNA for the first time in year 2010.
PRERNA, an inspiration for many, became the only social event organised by engineering students at National level in whole of INDIA. In the year 2011, Gujarat witnessed for the first time Disabled Cricket Tournament and live performance by Mumbai based blind band, UDAAN.
In the year of 2012, PRERNA got its new official logo and organised a live performance by Delhi based National Award Winner group, ABILITY UNLIMITED.
PRERNA-THE EMANCIPATION is like a Banyan Tree which now not only shelters the differently abled people but also the ones which are often neglected by a large section of society, the OLD AGED people.
In 2013, PRERNA witnessed a splendid performance of our National Anthem by 604 deaf and mute in their sign language hence putting forward an example of 'silent synchronisation',
PRERNA'14 took a huge leap forward by organising an exhibition match of BLIND FOOTBALL for the first time in the history of Gujarat that quite literally left the spectators awestruck.
PRERNA takes a step further and spread its arms wide open as we welcome ORPHANS into our family with love and respect and utmost joy.
In 2016, PRERNA recieved patronage from UNESCO, a specialized agency of United Nations, for the first time in the history of PRERNA.
In 2018, PRERNA recieved Young Contributor Award at YOUNG CONTRIBUTOR SUMMIT for the never ending efforts for the betterment of the Society & Community.
